i wouldn't necessarily call it anatomically accurate, but she was proud.

cold and rainy disney day

it was 50 degrees and raining.

the day started out so good, but ended on a cold and wet note.

yuck.

but he got to see mike alstott and that's what he wanted.

and i got to renew my annual pass and that's what i wanted.

plus, i got in some good shopping time with my girl at disney.

doesn't get better than that.

it was possibly the shortest disney trip we've ever taken - in at 9:30am and out by noon.

not in a hurry to repeat that.

but she looked awfully cute in her big girl disney poncho.

simple things make me happy

like when she colors me a picture.

she insists on me taking it to work.

i could open a gallery by now.

her school work this week showed ignored work and coloring all over the page.

her teacher wrote that she needs to work more and color less.

i like that she sees the world in color.

i just won't tell her that.

today is not good.

i'm in pain because my back hurts.

the bad kind, that makes me worry.

that this is forever and i just have to deal.

but i hate to dwell and many people live with much worse.

so to make myself feel better, i'm going to be grateful.

today, i am thankful for:

my beautiful meghan.

my husband who puts up with me and my eccentricities.

yoga and the strength and peace it brings.

my camera and how different it's made me see the world.

my dogs, without whom i would be very cold and have room to move in bed at night.

my job, when so many people are out of work.

disney, because, well...it's disney. it's my happy place.

i am thankful. i am thankful. i am thankful.

she picks "flowers" for me and i love it.

a perfect day

a day at the zoo with meghan and sean is perfect.

gorgeous, warm Florida weather.

animals.

my girl and my man.

it doesn't get better than that.

except for that it did, because then we had cuban sandwiches at lowry park.

the child in us all comes out to play.

then round out the perfect day with dinner at Biff Burger in St. Pete with Dad and Donna.

bikers, motorcycles, burgers and babies. heaven.
