well...february. but what can i say? i've been busy.

and these are out of order. but whatevs. better late than never.

i'm so happy that it's friday.

i'm even more happy that it's a three day weekend.

it's been an interesting week. i wouldn't say it was good. i wouldn't say it was bad.

here are some notable things that took place this week:

1. snagged my belly piercing on my pants and ripped it. um. ow.

2. got yelled at approximately 10,492 times by unhappy callers at work. that's been super fun.

3. matched at least one other person in my office exactly every day this week. i think we are morphing into one since we spend so much time together. ugh.

4. got new biking contraption that allows me to ride my bike in the living room. it's cool but i definitely need a new grandma seat. evidently i am not made for skinny seats. 'nuff said.

5. my weekend will contain things holy and sinful (in a good way of course). that's a first.

(not) an example of good parenting

so last night, stormie must have slept on the floor switch of our lamp and now it's shorting out again. crap.

but i did manage to get it to turn on while meg was watching her cartoons this morning and i went into the kitchen to get our lunchboxes together.

i came back and realized that the light was flickering on and off so i looked at meg with my eyes wide and serious and said, "it must be a ghost".

now - i'm not going to say that it was the best decision i've made but i immediately took it back and said i was just kidding.

so the light is on while i'm brushing her hair and it goes off. she jumps on top of me and screams, "it's the ghost! i'm scared!"

i have a feeling that i will be paying for this tonight...

facts

1. it's impossible to stay annoyed/mad at meghan. fact.

2. daycare parents annoy me. too judgy. fact.

3. i found a cell phone in the parking lot today and went through their emails to try and find who's phone it was to alert them. and then i read them. this person really talks smack about their co-workers and was even so kind as to email a fellow co-worker to warn them of the stink in the bathroom from so-and-so taking a dump. best part of my day. fact.

4. i don't feel like working today. fact.

5. i just had two weeks off during the holidays and feel like i need more time off. fact.

6. i feel the need to go. just go. get out of here and see the world. not going to happen right now, but someday, it will. count on it. fact.

7. i made the best whole wheat iced orange cookies ever last night. fact.

8. i attempted to make bread for the first time yesterday and the dough didn't rise. bread fail. fact. and now i shall try again until i get it right. fact.

9. i'm addicted to hot tea. fact.

10. i bought meghan a spongebob dvd at target yesterday so she can watch episodes and not be exposed to mass marketing constantly via commercials. yep. i'm that mom. and know what? after about three episodes she looked at me and said that she's happy there are no commercials. win. fact.
